Light, camera, action! Intelligence-led crime control and prevention with crime script analysis
The aim of this methodological contribution is to provide insight into the added value of crime script
analysis in the context of intelligence-led crime control and crime prevention. Crime script analysis allows criminologists to generate, organize and systematize knowledge and information about the procedural aspects and procedural requirements of crime commission. Ironically, there is no contemporary and systematic overview of what such a crime script entails, what its various levels and forms are, what its components are and how a crime script is established. Especially in Dutch scientific literature such an overview is absent. This contribution seeks to fill this gap.
