A RESEARCH STUDY ABOUT THE PROCESS OF THE ‘WORKING GROUP DRUG POLICY’ SITUATED IN THE NIGHTLIFE COUNCIL GHENT
This article is about the process of the ‘working group drug policy’. The aim is to summarise the different phases and see how the various stakeholders went through this process. This summery talks about how the working group was formed and how the stakeholders are selected, what the different phases are and the possible vulnerabilities. Based on this summary, the study draws a conclusion on whether this process could serve as a good example for other cities. The conclusion includes recommendations for the “working group drug policy” itself, as well as suggestions for other projects that could use this research as a reference. The study is supported by a mixed methods approach, where a literature review/obser-vation, physical observation and semi-structured interviews (n=11) were conducted with the different stakeholders of the working group.
