Hij is hoogleraar aan de Yale Law School, en uitgever van het gezaghebbend wetenschappelijk tijdschrift “The Journal of Law, Economics and Organization”. In dit boek betoogt hij dat de informaticarevolutie niet aan het recht mag voorbijgaan (zie I. Ayres, 2007).
