Since its introduction Restorative Justice (RJ) has attracted sustained attention from scholars, practitioners and governments. This is no different in the Australian context. As the RJ model has moved from infancy into maturity, and has become increasingly institutionalised (Aertsen, I., Daems, T., & Robert, L. 2006), we are prompted to ask some questions about the current role and task of RJ in the Criminal Justice System...
