samenvatting | The purpose of this article is to identify and analyse implementation of anti-corruption model, measures and policies in the Republic of Slovenia since its accession to the European Union. The paper provides a useful new source of knowledge for all experts in prevention and law-enforcement especially since it was one of the first of this type of independent institutions to be established. The study analyses the establishment of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, which was set up according to international recommendations and conventions. Because of the practical problems with the prevention of corruption and particularly the lack of political will for the implementation such matters, the Integrity and Prevention of Corruption Act was adopted in 2010 to fulfil also other requirements and good practices regarding whistle-blowing, lobbying, anti-corruption clauses, conflict of interest and other measures and methods with the clear aim to strengthen the integrity of the public sector, transparency and general prevention of corruption. |
